Apple Reveals iOS 7 and the New Mac Pro

Apple used WWDC 2013 to reveal two very different redesigns: iOS 7 replaced the heavily textured visual style of earlier iPhones, while the new Mac Pro abandoned the traditional rectangular workstation tower for a compact cylindrical design.
iOS 7 kept the same application model but changed typography, icons, animation, layering, and control surfaces across the system. Developers had to update interfaces even when their application logic remained unchanged.
The Mac Pro used a central thermal core with components arranged around one cooling path and emphasized dual GPUs. Its small size looked futuristic, but limited internal expansion meant users depended more heavily on external Thunderbolt devices. Both products showed Apple prioritizing tightly controlled integrated design, with consequences for developers and professional users.
