Starting Computer Engineering in 2025 means entering a field where powerful AI tools are already part of everyday technical work.

Code can be generated faster. Errors can be explained automatically. Documentation can be summarized. Prototypes can be created in minutes.

This does not make engineering education less important. It makes understanding more important.

During your studies, you will learn programming, algorithms, data structures, operating systems, computer networks, databases, computer architecture, digital systems, and software engineering. These subjects will help you understand what happens beneath the tools you use.

Do not measure your progress by how quickly you can produce code. Learn to ask better questions.

Is the solution correct? Is it secure? Is it efficient? Can another engineer maintain it? What happens when the system fails? What assumptions are hidden inside the design?

These are engineering questions, and they will remain important no matter how capable software tools become.

Use your time here to explore. Build real projects. Work with other students. Learn from open-source software. Experiment with AI, embedded systems, cybersecurity, cloud computing, robotics, and any other area that interests you.

Technology will change many times during your career. Your strongest advantage will be the ability to understand new systems quickly and think independently.
