NVIDIA Unveils Vera Rubin at GTC

At GTC 2026 in March, NVIDIA presented the Vera Rubin platform as the next major generation of its AI-computing stack. The announcement extended beyond a GPU to CPUs, accelerators, networking, storage architecture, and rack-scale reference systems.

Modern frontier models are too large for one accelerator, so system performance depends on how quickly many devices can exchange parameters, activations, and cached attention data. NVIDIA’s roadmap therefore treats NVLink-class interconnects, high-bandwidth memory, networking, and cooling as parts of the processor architecture rather than external accessories.

GTC 2026 also introduced the Vera CPU and new BlueField storage components. The direction is clear: AI hardware competition is increasingly a contest between complete data-center platforms, not individual chips.
