Every November 10, Türkiye remembers Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The ceremonies are familiar: flags, sirens, silence at 09:05. But remembrance becomes meaningful when we also think about the ideas behind the ceremony.

Atatürk saw education as one of the foundations of national independence. He supported science, rational thought, institutional reform, and the participation of citizens in a modern republic.

In 2010, technology is changing the way people learn, communicate, and work. The tools are new, but the importance of knowledge is not.

A country that wants to remain strong must continue to educate, research, produce, and question.

Today, we remember Atatürk not only as a historical leader, but as the founder of a republic whose future depends on every new generation.
