Yalnızlık Senfonisi

Some kinds of loneliness do not arrive suddenly. They grow slowly.
At first, you think you are only having a bad day. Then a quiet evening becomes a quiet week, and after some time you notice that the silence has started to feel familiar. You learn where it sits in the room. You know which hours make it stronger. You even begin to know what kind of thoughts it will bring.
Yalnızlık Senfonisi makes me think about this kind of loneliness.
The song does not describe loneliness as a simple absence. It feels more like something waiting for you. Something patient. You can stay busy, meet people, work, talk, laugh and continue with your life, but eventually you return home and find it exactly where you left it.
I think everyone learns this in a different way.
When we are young, pain feels temporary. We cry, we get angry, we believe something will come and replace whatever we have lost. Time seems endless, so every ending looks like the beginning of something else.
Later, you understand that some losses are not replaced.
You simply learn to carry them better.
That may be one of the strangest parts of growing older. We become stronger, but not because life hurts us less. We become stronger because we discover that a person can break more than once and still continue.
I have had periods when I thought I was completely tired of starting again. The same disappointments, the same questions, the same feeling of trying to rebuild something that had already fallen apart.
Yet morning always came.
There were still things to do.
So I got up.
Maybe resilience is less heroic than we imagine. Most of the time, it is not a brave decision made under dramatic music. It is getting dressed when you do not feel like it. Answering a message. Going to work. Making dinner. Doing ordinary things while something inside you is still trying to understand what happened.
And then there is longing.
Longing is different from sadness because it contains a person.
You are not simply unhappy. You are unhappy about an absence. There is an empty chair with a name, an evening that once had another voice in it, a part of the day that used to belong to someone else.
Sometimes I think absence can become more present than presence itself.
When a person is with you, they are simply there. You do not think about every detail. When they leave, suddenly everything becomes a reminder. The weather, a song, a street, a certain smell. Even silence begins to carry information.
That is what I hear in this song.
Not surrender.
Confrontation.
There comes a point when you stop running from sadness and almost invite it closer. You know it is waiting anyway, so you decide to face it. Not because you are fearless, but because being afraid has become exhausting.
I understand that feeling.
There have been moments when I thought, let it come. Let the sadness arrive completely. Let me miss what I miss. Let me feel disappointed, angry and tired. Maybe fighting every emotion only makes it stay longer.
Rain eventually falls.
And after rain, the sky does not immediately become beautiful. Sometimes everything is only wet and cold.
Still, the pressure is gone.
Perhaps loneliness works in a similar way.
You do not defeat it. You stop negotiating with it.
Then, one evening, you realize that you are alone with the absence of someone who once filled a large part of your life.
Nothing dramatic happens.
You just sit there.
And somehow, you are still standing.
