Ay Tenli Kadın

Some people enter your life slowly. You do not notice the exact moment when they become important. One day you simply realize that they have reached a place in you that was empty before.
Ay Tenli Kadın makes me think about that kind of closeness.
There is something powerful in the idea of finding your roots inside another person. Love is often described as excitement, attraction or happiness, but sometimes it feels more like recognition. You meet someone and there is a strange sense that part of you already knows where to stay.
I have always found that feeling both beautiful and dangerous.
When you become deeply connected to someone, your life starts growing around them. Small routines appear. Certain places become yours together. A song gains a new meaning. Even the night can begin to belong to a person.
Then imagination makes everything stronger.
Being with someone is real. Reality contains normal days, tired conversations, bad moods and silence. But imagining someone removes all of that. Memory and desire keep only what they want.
Perhaps that is why sometimes dreaming about a person can feel more intense than actually seeing them.
The mind is very good at creating perfect versions of people.
At night, this becomes easier.
The world loses detail in darkness. Streets become quieter, rooms become smaller, and thoughts become louder. Someone who seemed far away during the day can suddenly feel very close.
I think this is why so many memories return at night.
There are fewer things to protect us from ourselves.
The moon is also a strange companion for longing. It is bright, but it does not remove the darkness. It only gives it shape.
Maybe some people are like that too.
They do not solve loneliness. They simply make it beautiful for a while.
I have known moments when missing someone felt almost physical. You want to see them, but seeing them does not seem enough. You want to understand what is happening inside them. You want access to the hidden rooms.
That is probably impossible.
No matter how close two people become, there is always a part of the other person that remains private.
Perhaps love is not entering every room.
Perhaps it is knowing that the rooms are there and still choosing to stay near the door.
What I like most about Ay Tenli Kadın is that its longing does not feel complicated. There is no long explanation, no attempt to solve love like a problem. There is simply attraction, imagination and the wish to be close.
As I get older, I appreciate that simplicity more.
We spend too much time trying to explain why we love certain people. We look for compatibility, timing, logic and reasons. These things matter, of course. But sometimes affection begins somewhere deeper than explanation.
You look at someone and something inside you moves.
That may be all.
Years later, you may forget many details. You may forget the conversations, the places and even the reasons why things ended.
But you may still remember the night.
And the person who once made it feel different.
